The classic. If a man was to just own one pocket square, this should be it. One often reads of “must-haves”, “essentials” etc. - this time, it’s actually true. We suggest, as with all our linen squares, a TV fold (just fold the square in half, so that a rectangle about half an inch in height shows; hand-rolled edges visible, of course).
It goes especially well with more formal combinations like dark suit, white shirt, dark tie and black shoes - but it also isn’t out of place with a tweed jacket. As we said before, this pocket square is a real joker in your wardrobe. White linen always looks fresh and gives the wearer a fresh and confident appearance. Our white linen pocket squares are made from real Irish Linen, a fabric with a rich history: before fabric production largely disappeared from Europe, a lot of linen was processed in Ireland, mainly due to the ideal conditions the country provides. Today, only a handful of the best manufactures are left. Linen is very demanding when it comes to the production process - wool, for example, is much more forgiving when it comes to fluctuations in humidity or temperature during yarning and combing the fibres.
Due to the long tradition and vast amount of experience, our supplier is very aware of these conditions and handles them perfectly. The Irish water is also very well suited for the production of fabrics, for it is very soft. All these factors added together result in a cloth that is very hard to do justice to with words - but if you feel a piece of Irish Linen and a piece of normal linen, the difference becomes immediately apparent.
