Which tie width should I order?
This can be a tricky question, but let us try to answer this reasonably.
Proportion is the key word here: an outfit has to be well-balanced for its wearer to look good. Directly related to the width of the tie is the width of the lapel; the lapel should cover about half the length between shirt and shoulder to look harmonious. The tie at its widest point should be about as wide as the lapel at its widest point to achieve a well-balanced look. Depending on personal preferences, you can add or deduct 1-2cm from this width.
In practical terms, this roughly translates to the following: if you wear a EU 50 or 52 (US/UK 40 or 42) you will be best served with a 9 cm tie. If you’re under that, 8 cm is the way to go. -

In case you’re looking for a wedding tie, we strongly recommend this tie or this tie with a white Irish linen pocket square. We do also offer a complete wedding set and a formal black tie set. -
Which size should I order?
All our items (socks, shirts, gloves, hats...) are true to size, so we always recommend you to order your usual size. A size chart is available on each product page. -
Can you produce custom fabrics for bespoke ties?
Unfortunately, we are unable to produce custom fabrics for bespoke ties. Our fabric suppliers require minimum production quantities that make individual fabric developments impossible. -
Can you produce bespoke ties from fabrics of your ready-to-wear tie collection?
This depends on whether the fabric is still available. If the tie is from the current collection, there is usually a good chance that we can make another one. For ties from older collections, the fabric is often no longer in stock. In any case, please send us an email with a link to the tie you would like to have custom made, and we will check availability and get back to you. -
What is your return policy?
If for any reason you are unhappy with an item, we accept returns up to 14 days from the date of delivery. In case you want to return an item, just send us a quick email to info@shibumi-firenze.com with your order number. It’s up to you if you want to exchange an item to another one or if you want to receive a refund. -

What is the expected delivery time of my bespoke tie order?
Our average delivery time is 2-3 business days worldwide. However, due to customs in certain countries slight delays are possible.
Please keep in mind that we need about 3-4 weeks for bespoke ties and 5-6 weeks for made-to-order (MTO) shirts. -
Do you offer tax free?
Yes, VAT (19%) is automatically deducted if you visit our website from outside of the EU or use a non-EU delivery address. Custom duties and/or local taxes are the buyer’s responsibility. It is not our policy to write down the value of any shipped goods in order to avoid local taxes.
This refers also to all orders shipped to the UK, Switzerland and Norway. -
Can I add or cancel an item from my order?
If your order hasn’t been shipped so far, you can still add or cancel items. In case you want to change your order, please send us an email to info@shibumi-firenze.com with your order number and the item(s) you would like to amend. -
Do I need an account to place an order?
You don’t need an account to complete a purchase. However, if you register with us, you can enjoy the following benefits through your Shibumi Firenze account:

I can't access my account online, what should I do?
If you remember the email address you used to register your personal Shibumi account, you can reset your password by using the link “forgot your password?”. If you don't remember the email address, please contact us at info@shibumi-firenze.com. -
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, the minimum order amount is 45€ without shipping costs. -
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes, of course. Just send us an email to info@shibumi-firenze.com after you placed your order with your order number.
