Our grenadine fabrics from Kuska represent the pinnacle of artisanal textile craftsmanship. Each piece is handwoven in Kyoto, Japan, on traditional wooden looms that are operated entirely by hand. These remarkable looms are not powered by electricity but are literally moved by the weaver’s own hands, preserving a rare and centuries-old method of production.

Because of this meticulous process, every loom and every craftsman can produce only about two meters of fabric per day. The rhythm is slow, deliberate, and deeply respectful of the craft — a pace that ensures extraordinary precision and character in every thread. The result is a grenadine fabric of exceptional beauty: rich in texture, remarkable in depth, and of the highest possible quality. Lightweight yet structured, it offers the distinctive open weave that defines true grenadine while maintaining remarkable refinement and durability.
